Inhibitor Dosing Systems

In order to improve the supply of water PH value and preventing metal corrosion of water system, it needs to add inhibitor or scale inhibitor, like ammonia, hydra zine, and phosphate to solve this problem. LGP inhibitor dosing system is designed for this purpose It can be manual and automatic controlled at site or computer automatically controlled. This system can reserve the water quality to the standard, which will ensure the plant safety with less cost.

Hardness of calcium and magnesium in boiler feed water can occur chemical reaction at high temperature, or concentrated crystallized to form insoluble incrustation which firmly attached to the boiler heating surface.This incrustation is a poor conductor of heat, and may result in boiler tube rupture accident. In addition, it will induce and exacerbate metal chemical corrosion . Although the boiler condensate, water went through a rigorous softening, desalination process,there is still a small amount of calcium and magnesium hardness of water into the furnace. If this part of the hardness of the incrustation is without being treated, it will cause a threat to the safe operation of the boiler.

Dosing system is usually equipped with two dosing pumps, one working, one standby. In this system, the amount of inhibitor in boiler water to be dosed is controlled by the PH value. When the PH value is below the set value, the dosing pump starts dosing. In this case, inhibitor solution is pumped into the dosing point of the  corresponding  deaerator outlet pipe. When the working dosing pump fails, open the valve on the pipe line connected to this pump, and start the standby pump.It can improve cushioning properties, and is conducive to maintaining the stability of the boiler water pH value, thereby preventing incrustation formation and corrosion of boiler.

Components of the Dosing Systems

Dosing system consists of (storage tank), dissolving tank, (mixer) metering pumps, level indicator, electrical control cabinet, piping, valves, distributor, safety valve, regulator, pressure gauge, no-return valve, frame and other components.
